From the 25th May 2018 New Data Protection Laws (GDPR) come into being. You have rights within the new Data Protection Laws which you can exercise in relation to the information we hold about you, you can find out more here:

We want you to be clear on how we use your information . So what do we do with your information?

Using our Services

We offer therapies and related courses to the public. When you consult with us for treatment, we have to carry out a health history and full consultation to make sure that the treatment we are providing is suitable for you, this is to ensure your health and safety.

We process data under the lawful basis of Consent and retain personal data for up to 10 years after your last contact with us. This is for insurance purposes and safeguards you and ourselves in the event of any claims arising from the treatments we have provided to you. We never share your information with third parties unless we have had your written consent to do so, for example you may wish us to liaise with other health professionals responsible for your care or your health insurance provider , in that event you may request us to share relevant information but you will need to sign a consent form before we do so.

The only people with sight of your case notes will be your Therapist, the Manager or administrators at The Well Being and they will always keep your information confidential and adhere to the new data protection laws.

We use the Writeupp online booking and case note system which ensures that your data is held as safely as possible within the new Data Protection Laws.

Social Media:

If you message us via Social Media the message will be archived within the social media platform it was sent to unless you request its deletion. It should not be shared with any other organisations.

Telephone Contact:

When you call us we will usually ask how you found out about us and our services, this information will be used to ascertain the best way to promote the business. We will ask if we can keep your contact details on file for marketing purposes. You can decline for us to hold your contact information for marketing purposes should you wish to do so.

With regards to Emails:

Emails sent to us and this business, including any attachments, may be monitored and used by us for reasons of security and to track customer interaction. We may use software to monitor or block received emails. Any emails you send to us should be within the law.

We are asking our customers to ‘opt in’ to receiving emails on special offers and important updates. If you don’t opt in this way you will no longer receive any special offer emails from us.

  • Please note that:
    Our emails are never too frequent
  • We use Mail Chimp for our email marketing campaigns and they also adhere to GDPR, you can view their privacy policy on the campaign emails we send.
  • We will only email you when we have information about our services or business or special offers
  • We never share your information with anyone without your prior permission in writing
  • Your data will not be shared with a third party
  • You can easily unsubscribe from our emails at any time.
